Lemon Sponge Cake

In summer season people want to eat light and easy food to eat today I am sharing recipe of Lemon Sponge Cake. Recipe of this yummy and divine cake is as follow.

Ingredients

• 150 gm cake flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 3 eggs
• 200 gm caster sugar
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
• 6 tablespoons hot milk

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.
2. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
3. In a large bowl, beat eggs until fluffy and lemon colored. Gradually beat in sugar. Stir in lemon juice and flavoring. Add sifted flour mixture gradually while beating; beat only enough to blend. Add hot milk quickly 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until blended. Pour into non greased 23 cm cake tin at once.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 55 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to touch. Invert, and cool in tin. Then loosen sides, and turn out on cake rack to cool completely.
5. Decorate it with orange jam and lemons and server it with tea

Summer is the warmest of the four seasons,  it occurs  between spring and autumn. At the summer the days are longest and the nights are shortest. Start date of summer is varies according to climate and location of that place. Usually Summer begins 1st May and ends 1st August and in some places it begins from May and ends in September.

In summer days are long and nights are short, 21st June is consider the longest and hottest day of summer.Schools and universities typically have a summer break to take advantage of the warmer weather and longer days. People used to visit hilly and cold areas in summer to spent their time happily with their friends and family. Some people prefers to visit beach areas and swimming pools to get rid of summer. People used to wear light clothes of light colors, put hats and caps to save themselves from sun, put on glasses to save their eyes from itching sun rays. People used to drink cold drinks and plenty of water to avoid sun stokes and dehydration.

But from many years as technology improves people like to kept in their home, arrange parties in home, put air conditioners all days and night to get rid of hot weather. Children used to play indoor games, invite their friends and neighbors and play online games with them.
